MLB Network to Televise the 2025 Caribbean Series in English

On Wednesday, big news hit the baseball world as MLB Network announced they would televise the 2025 Caribbean Series in English for the first time.

This year, the Caribbean Series will take place at El Nido de los Aguilas in Mexicali, Mexico. The last time the event was in Mexicali was in 2009. The Caribbean Series last took place in Mexico in 2022 in Mazatlán.

The first set of games is later this month on Jan. 31. Venezuela plays the Dominican Republic at 4:30 p.m. E.T. Later that day, Mexico plays Puerto Rico at 11 p.m. E.T.

The tournament lasts eight days and includes 14 games. MLB Network last aired the Caribbean Series in 2009 and 2010.

The most recent international baseball event MLB Network has aired was the 2024 Choque De Gigantes. This event took place at the Miami Marlins’ home ballpark, LoanDepot Park. It featured matchups between some of the best Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela teams.

Last year, Tiburones de La Guaira from Venezuela won the Caribbean Series in loanDepot Park in Miami. This was the first time Venezuela had won the event since 2009 and the first time an MLB stadium hosted the Caribbean Series.
