Over six MLB seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals and Toronto Blue Jays, Cabrera has accumulated a 3.89 ERA with 268 strikeouts in 275.2 innings. In 2024, he appeared in 69 games for the Blue Jays, posting a 3.59 ERA with 50 strikeouts over 62.2 innings.
The Mets’ bullpen has undergone significant changes, with several pitchers departing via free agency or non-tendering. Currently, the only other left-handed reliever on the Mets’ 40-man roster is Danny Young.
The Mets are set to face the Arizona Diamondbacks today at Citi Field, with Kodai Senga scheduled to start.
