The inaugural Baseball Champions League Europe Final Four heads to Brno, Czechia, on Sept. 26-27, where four of the continent’s premier clubs will battle for the BCL Europe championship at Brno City Baseball Stadium (YD Baseball Aréna).

Organized by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC), the tournament features host club Draci Brno (Czechia), Curaçao Neptunus (Netherlands), Parma 1949 (Italy) and Tenerife Marlins (Spain).

The competition began in May with group-stage tournaments in Regensburg, Germany, and Rotterdam, Netherlands. Parma 1949 and Curaçao Neptunus won their respective groups, while Draci Brno and Tenerife Marlins advanced after second-place finishes to complete the Final Four field.

Draci Brno – Czechia – Playing on their home field, Draci Brno enters the tournament as Czech baseball’s most successful club with 26 domestic championships. The host will lean on one of the tournament’s most explosive offenses after posting a .317 team batting average during the group stage.

Draci attacks with power throughout their lineup, collecting four home runs and 10 doubles in just three games.

Martin Pernička headlines the lineup after delivering one of the defining moments of the opening round. His two-run home run in the fifth inning against Guggenberger Legionäre helped seal a 9-3 victory and secure Draci’s place in the Final Four.

Curaçao Neptunus – Netherlands – Curaçao Neptunus brings one of the tournament’s most balanced rosters, pairing disciplined offense with a pitching staff capable of controlling games.

The Rotterdam club led all Final Four teams with a .337 batting average during the group stage and opened the tournament with a commanding 15-4 victory over Tenerife Marlins. Neptunus consistently extends at-bats, limits strikeouts and applies pressure throughout the lineup.

Veteran slugger Dwayne Kemp remains the centerpiece of the offense, providing experience in high-pressure situations. Combined with reliable pitching and solid defense, Neptunus has the versatility to match up with any opponent.

Tenerife Marlins – Spain – Tenerife Marlins advanced behind one of the deepest offensive lineups in the tournament, finishing the opening round with a .314 team batting average.

The Spanish champions force opposing pitchers to work through all nine spots in the order, rarely conceding easy outs. Venezuelan outfielder Yancarlo Franco sparked the offense during group play with a pivotal home run against Heidenheim, while Lesther Galván supplies the middle-of-the-order power capable of changing a game with one swing.

Defensively, the Marlins display efficient infield play, and their ability to turn double plays has consistently neutralized scoring threats and kept games within reach.

Parma 1949 – Italy – Parma 1949 enters Brno as one of Europe’s most accomplished baseball clubs. The Italian powerhouse has recorded 11 domestic championships and a record 15 European Champions Cup titles, bringing a winning tradition and championship experience into the Final Four.

Parma dominated group play with a perfect 3-0 record, combining disciplined hitting with their aggressive base running style. The club excels at putting runners in motion through stolen bases and hit-and-run situations, creating constant pressure on the opposing team.

Their structured defensive approach complements a deep pitching staff led by Juan Carlos Infante Junior, whose international experience provides stability atop the rotation. Parma’s ability to limit mistakes while capitalizing on scoring opportunities makes them one of the most complete teams in this tournament.

With four clubs bringing distinct styles of play and championship aspirations, Brno is set to host a historic weekend as the inaugural Baseball Champions League European champion is crowned.
