The Cosmic Takeover Tour will visit 44 Minor League Baseball stadiums, bringing its blacklight baseball experience and expanded entertainment production to Huntsville on March 27.

Baseball is getting a glow-up in 2027. Cosmic Baseball is bringing its combination of on-field competition, neon effects and immersive entertainment to Toyota Field on March 27 as part of an expanded national tour.

The Cosmic Takeover Tour will visit 44 Minor League Baseball (MiLB) stadiums across the country, transforming traditional ballparks into blacklight baseball spectacles. The event combines specialized teams, UV-reactive uniforms and equipment, and a nighttime entertainment production designed to give fans a different kind of baseball experience.

The 2027 schedule follows a major year for the touring event. According to the organization, its 2026 tour featured 74 sold-out games across 30 markets and welcomed more than 750,000 fans, representing a 400% increase over its inaugural 2025 tour.

Building on that momentum, Cosmic Baseball plans to expand its production in 2027 with additional in-game entertainment, including a 360-degree fireworks display.

"The energy on our 2026 tour was absolutely electric, blowing past every expectation we set. For 2027, we've dialed up the production, added groundbreaking new in-game features, and created a glowing nighttime performance that fans will be talking about long after the final light goes out," Chris Martin, founder of the Chili Peppers, said in an interview with MLB.com.

Unlike a traditional baseball game, Cosmic Baseball places entertainment at the center of the experience. Players compete beneath blacklights while wearing neon and UV-reactive gear, creating a glowing atmosphere throughout the ballpark.

The tour features two primary teams: the Cosmic Chili Peppers and the Glow Mojis. Rather than bringing a different collection of teams to each market, the two squads travel together and compete at ballparks across the country.

The Cosmic Chili Peppers serve as the tour's flagship team, while the Glow Mojis take on the role of their designated rivals.

The event partners with local Minor League Baseball organizations to host games at their home stadiums. Previous and featured tour stops include venues associated with the Sugar Land Space Cowboys, Corpus Christi Hooks, Myrtle Beach Pelicans and Durham Bulls.

The Cosmic Chili Peppers feature players with professional baseball experience, including outfielder Blaine McIntosh, who was selected by the New York Mets in the 13th round of the 2019 MLB Draft. Infielder and outfielder Francis Grullon also brings minor league experience after previously playing in the Kansas City Royals' farm system.

On the Glow Mojis' roster, right-handed pitcher Alex Kobersteen has become a fan favorite for his ability to throw above 90 mph and his distinctive on-field appearance. His performances in unique gear have also attracted attention online.

Reliever Nolan LaMere adds another power arm to the Glow Mojis' bullpen. His fastball reaches the low-to-mid 90s, giving him an opportunity to challenge hitters in the event's unique blacklight setting.

The March 27 event will bring the Cosmic Takeover Tour to Toyota Field in Huntsville, Alabama, home of the Rocket City Trash Pandas. The stop gives local fans an opportunity to experience a baseball event that combines competition with a full-scale nighttime production.

With 44 stadiums on the 2027 schedule, Cosmic Baseball is continuing to expand its reach across the country. Following the attendance success of its previous tour, the organization is raising expectations with new entertainment features and an expanded schedule.

For fans in Huntsville, March 27 will offer a different perspective on the ballpark experience, as Toyota Field trades its traditional nighttime atmosphere for a field of glowing uniforms, and entertaining baseball under the lights.
