Guerreros de Oaxaca (6) 6, Diablos Rojos del Mexico (1) 1 – Former Major Leaguer James Kaprelian got sweet, sweet revenge on his former team, blanking the Diablos Rojos over 6 2/3 innings and holding his former squad to five hits and a walk and striking out four as the Guerreros evened the series with a win in Game 2. Leonel Valera and Mel Rojas Jr. each had RBI doubles for Oaxaca and Ricardo Valenzuela hit a two-run homer. The Diablos didn’t get on the board until the bottom of the ninth, when Orlando Arcia singled home Franklin Barreto. The series now moves to Oaxaca City, where Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday at 9 p.m. EDT.

Caliente de Durango (2) 9, Acereros de Monclova (5) 3 – Durango bounced back from a Game 1 loss, getting three homers and six RBIs from Daniel Johnson, scoring seven of their nine runs via the long ball and the other two on a triple by Estevan Florial. Elier Hernandez added a solo homer for the Caliente, and six relievers combined to hold Monclova scoreless over 5 1/3 innings. Jose Felix had a two-run double for Monclova. The series now heads back to Monclova tied at a game apiece, with Game 3 scheduled for 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Sultanes de Monterrey (3) 3, Charros de Jalisco (4) 1 – Manny Banuelos allowed just two hits and a walk over seven scoreless innings for Monterrey, and Victor Mendoza had a pair of RBI singles as the Sultanes took Game 1 on the road in Guadalajara. Jalisco starter Zac Grotz allowed one run over six innings, allowing six hits and a walk, striking out five. Game 2 will be played at 9:45 EDT on Monday evening at Estadio Panamericano.

Bravos de Leon (5) 5, Olmecas de Tabasco (2) 4 – The Olmecas scored four runs on four singles in the bottom of the fourth, but the Bravos battled back, tying the game in the sixth on a two-run homer by Sandber Pimentel and then scoring the game-winner in the seventh when Gabriel Cancel, who hit a solo homer earlier in the game, singled home Luis Medina. The Bravos bullpen held Tabasco to just two hits over the final 5 2/3 innings as they evened the series at a game apiece. Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. EDT in Leon.

Algodoneros de Union Laguna (6) 8, Toros de Tijuana (1) 2 – Union Laguna jumped out to a 7-0 lead through 5 1/2 innings and cruised to victory to even the series as it heads back to Torreon. Je’Von Ward hit a three-run homer and Eguy Rosario hit a solo shot for the Algodoneros, and 3-4-5 hitters Albert Lara, Isan Diaz, and Yadir Drake each drove in a run for Union Laguna. Phillip Evans drove in both Toros runs with a double in the bottom of the sixth. Game 3 will be played Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. EDT at Estadio Revolucion.

Pericos de Puebla (4) at Piratas de Campeche (3) – Game 2 of the series was postponed due to rain, and will now be played at 9:30 p.m. on Monday night. Puebla leads the series 1-0. Neither team has declared a starting pitcher.
