Diablos Rojos del Mexico (49-25) 6, Tigres de Quintana Roo (37-35) 0 – Justin Courtney threw 6 2/3 shutout innings, allowing two hits, one walk, and striking out six, and the Diablos Rojos extended their win streak to nine. Ramon Flores hit a three-run homer for the Reds in the fourth, and Moises Gutierrez scored twice. Three relievers combined to hold the Tigres to two hits and a walk over the remainder of the game.

Olmecas de Tabasco (44-30) 2, Piratas de Campeche (36-34) 0 – Agustin Ruiz laid down a sacrifice bunt that scored Oscar Gonzalez, and Domingo Leyba singled home Marco Hernandez, with both Tabasco runs coming the in seventh. Seven Olmecas pitchers combined to allow 11 hits but no runs and strike out 10 Piratas, and Tabasco remains five games behind the first-place Diablos in the Zona Sur.

Guerreros de Oaxaca (38-36) 7, Leones de Yucatan (27-45) 4 – Juan Santana went 4-for-4 and was a homer short of the cycle with a run scored and an RBI, and five other Guerreros batters each drove in a run as Oaxaca moved into a three-way tie for fourth in the Zona Sur with Campeche and Quintana Roo.

Pericos de Puebla (39-33) 10, El Aguila de Veracruz (34-39) 9 – Veracruz gave away a 9-6 lead over the final inning and a half, with Puebla’s Lorenzo Cedrola hitting a two-run double in the bottom of the eighth and Miguel Guzman ending the game with a two-run single in the bottom of the ninth. Cedrola went 3-for-5 with three RBIs in the win for the Pericos, who now sit four games behind second-place Tabasco and are two games in front of the three-team logjam for fourth.

Conspiradores de Queretaro (32-41) 10, Bravos de Leon (37-37) 3 – Gabriel Cancel hit his 25th homer of the year, a two-run shot in the first, but the Bravos gave up four long balls to Queretaro to lose their fourth straight game. Yurisbel Gracial, Rangel Ravelo, and Yangervis Solarte each hit solo homers for the Conspiradores, and Kelvin Gutierrez hit a two-run homer. Starter Javier Guerra threw six innings, allowing three runs on seven hits, walking one and striking out four for Queretaro.

Acereros de Monclova (39-35) 8, Sultanes de Monterrey (38-35) 5 – Juan Mora had an RBI single, Ramon Hernandez had an RBI double, and Rodolfo Amador had an RBI triple, all in the top of the ninth, to get the Acereros past the Sultanes.

Dorados de Chihuahua (28-46) 13, Saraperos de Saltillo (29-43) 2 – Juan Yepez went 2-for-4 with a walk, two homers, three runs scored, and four RBIs as the Dorados routed Saltillo. Andre Lipcius had a three-run homer and Jacob rhinesmith hit a solo shot for the Dorados.

Caliente de Durango (40-33) 6, Algodoneros de Union Laguna (33-41) 4 – Alejandro Mejia singled home the go-ahead run in the top of the eighth, and Leonel Valera hit a solo homer in the ninth to get the Caliente past Union Laguna. The loss puts the Algodoneros two games out of the final playoff spot in the Zona Norte, where they have four more losses than Aguascalientes.

Charros de Jalisco (38-35) 2, Rieleros de Aguascalientes (33-37) 0 – Zac Grotz allowed seven hits over six shutout innings, striking out three and walking none for the Charros, and three relievers combined to hold the shutout over the final three innings. Gilberto Jimenez drove in both Jalisco runs with a sixth-inning single. The win moves the Charros into a tie for fourth in the Zona Norte with Monterrey, while Aguascalientes is holding the final playoff spot.

Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos (28-47) 2, Toros de Tijuana (50-22) 0 – Six Tecos pitchers combined to shut out the league-leading Toros, who managed seven hits but went 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position. Ali Castillo hit a solo homer in the fourth for Dos Laredos, and Jonathan Arauz added insurance in the ninth, scoring Alan Lopez with a squeeze bunt.
