With Game 7 tied at 3-3 in the bottom of the 13th and two out, Agustin Ruiz, standing on first base, represented the winning run for the Olmecas de Tabasco.

Guerreros de Oaxaca reliever missed with his first pitch, then came back with two strikes up and in to the Olmecas' No. 5 hitter.

His fourth pitch was in nearly the same spot as the second and third, and Espinoza was ready for it, swinging and sending a towering fly over the left field bullpen for a series-winning homer that sent Tabasco to the Serie Campeonato for the first time in 33 years.

The homer gave the Olmecas a 5-3 win and a 4-3 series win after a game that had been deadlocked since Oaxaca tied it in the top of the ninth.

Tabasco got out to a 3-0 lead, getting an RBI single in the third from Jasson Atondo, another in the fourth from Jose Godoy, and a third in the fifth from Marco Hernandez.

Meanwhile, Tabasco starter Jeremy rhoades stifled the Guerreros through 5 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing four runs and four walks while striking out six.

An RBI single by Alexi Amarista in the seventh, another by Yonathan Daza in the eighth, and a third by Juan Santana off Tabasco's Jimmy Cordero in the ninth tied the game at three apiece and earned the former New York Yankees reliever a blown save.

Francisco Peguero threw three scoreless innings for the Olmecas after coming in for the 11th, getting credited with the win when Espinoza's dinger cleared the wall.

Tabasco hasn't advanced to the Serie Campeonato in 33 years, the last time coming in 1993, the year the Olmecas won their only Serie del Rey.

They'll open the Serie Campeonato against the Pericos de Puebla on Saturday at 7 p.m. EDT. Starting pitchers have yet to be announced.
