James Clark and Miles Clark are a pair of brothers from Riverside, California. They both played baseball for St. John Bosco High School.

The Clark brothers not only shared the high school diamond, but they will also play college baseball together. Both James and Miles are heading to Durham, North Carolina to play their freshman seasons with the Duke Blue Devils in 2027.

How each Clark brother is ranked in the 2026 high school class

The Californian brothers provide the Duke Blue Devils with a great influx of freshman talent for next season. According to Perfect Game, the Clarks are well-ranked in the 2026 high school class.

Miles Clark is a top 100 player in the 2026 high school class from the state of California. He is also a top 100 outfielder in the class on a national level.

His brother, James Clark, is an elite talent. According to Perfect Game, James is a top 25 player in the 2026 high school class. He is also a top-ten shortstop in the class nationally and a top-ten player from California.

James withdrew his name from the 2026 MLB Draft to play college baseball for the Duke Blue Devils.

According to Baseball America, James is the third-best incoming freshman in college baseball for the 2027 season.

Both Miles and James Clark provide the Duke Blue Devils with some excitement for the future of their program. Perfect Game has Duke’s 2026 high school recruiting class ranked 29th overall. The Blue Devils have 14 high school commits in this recruiting cycle, with James Clark as their lone top 100 prospect.

Duke in year one under Corey Muscara

The Duke Blue Devils wrapped up their first season under head coach Corey Muscara. He replaced Chris Pollard, who left the Blue Devils to coach the Virginia Cavaliers.

In Muscara’s first season, Duke finished with a 26-31 overall record and a 10-20 record in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play. The Blue Devils had the worst record in the ACC alongside the Clemson Tigers, who were also 10-20 in league play.

The Clark brothers will be centerpieces to a big rebuild in Durham as they try to bring Duke baseball back to being competitive.
