Rochester 4, Memphis 3 - Seaver King homered in the top of the fifth to give Rochester a 2-1 lead, and the Red Wings tacked on two more in the sixth, getting one on an RBI double from Andrew Pinckney that scored Leandro Pineda and the second on a sac fly by Maxwell Romero Jr. to score Pinckney for a 3-1 lead.

Jimmy Crooks narrowed the gap with a solo homer in the sixth and an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth, but despite the RedBirds having runners on first and second with one out, they couldn't tie the game.

Las Vegas 13, Oklahoma City 11 - Jonathan Rodriguez, Bryan Lavastida, and Luke Mann each had three RBIs as the Aviators beat Oklahoma City in Game 1 of the Pacific Coast League championship series. The Aviators drew 12 walks in the game, including three by Joey Meneses, who also had a hit and scored three times.

James Tibbs III and Ryan Erhard each hit solo homers for Oklahoma City.

Double-A

Reading 13, Erie 4 - Carson Demartini went 1-for-3 with two walks, five RBIs, and hit an eighth-inning grand slam as the coup de grace in Reading's Game 1 win.

Biloxi 7, Rocket City 0 - Bishop Letson threw seven scoreless innings, allowing four hits, walking none as Biloxi took Game 1. Andrew Fischer hit a two-run homer for the Shuckers in the top of the sixth.

Amarillo 4, Springfield 0 - In the top of the second,Yassel Soler hit a solo homer and Carlos Virahonda hit a two-run homer to cap the scoring for Amarillo. Brian Curley threw five scoreless innings, walking none and striking out five, and relievers Joe Ariola and Ryan Thompson combined to throw four perfect innings to seal the win.
