Banana Ball is expanding outside of the United States for the first time.
The Savannah Bananas recently revealed their 2027 schedule, making stops at 79 stadiums across 74 cities.
As part of the Banana Ball Championship League Tour, the Bananas will travel to Monterrey and Tijuana in Mexico and Winnipeg and Toronto in Canada.
"Fans have been talking about us going international for years, and we've always said 'not yet, not yet, not yet.' But as the demand has grown, and we've continued to hear from multiple countries and multiple opportunities, we said the time is now," Banana Ball owner Jesse Cole told ESPN. "We looked at the opportunity to create more fans, and [we're] very excited to go to Mexico, going to Canada, [bringing] four of our teams out there is going to be special."
The Bananas will be at Estadio de Béisbol Monterrey from Feb. 5-6, followed by two games at Toros Mobil Park on Feb. 12-13. Six months later, Banana Ball will be at the Rogers Centre in Toronto from Aug. 14-15.
Then, they'll travel to Winnipeg for individual games at Blue Cross Park on Aug. 26 and Princess Auto Stadium on Aug. 28.
According to an announcement from the league, the Bananas plan to hold "Bananaland at Sea" in 2028. The experience is a round-trip seven-day cruise in January 2028.
The final destination will be San Juan, Puerto Rico, for a game at Hiram Bithorn Stadium on Jan. 17, 2028. However, the cruise goes from Jan. 14-21, per the Banana Land at Sea website.
Banana Ball's rapid acceleration is clearly not stopping at selling out MLB and NFL stadiums.
Based on the Banana's 2027 schedule, the New York Mets will be the last remaining MLB organization not to host a Banana Ball game at their home ballpark of Citi Field.
