Tennessee Volunteers 2025 High School Recruiting Class
The Tennessee Volunteers have the number one high school class in the 2025 cycle.
Despite having players like Billy Carlson and Kruz Schoolcraft take the professional route, head coach Tony Vitello still brought in a haul for the 2026 college baseball season.
The headlining names to know that are on campus include Cameron Appenzeller, Trent Grindlinger, and Ethan Moore.
Appenzeller was selected in the 19th round of the 2025 MLB Draft by the Seattle Mariners. He chose to go to Knoxville for a collegiate career with Tennessee instead.
The Illinois-native is a top 25 player in the 2025 class and a top three left-handed pitcher in the class as well.
Grindlinger is a highly talented prospect from Huntington Beach, Calif. He is a top 30 player in the 2025 class and the second-best catcher in the class as well.
Moore was selected in the 18th round of the 2025 MLB Draft by the Cincinnati Reds. Much like Appenzeller, he also chose to play in college for the Tennessee Volunteers instead.
The shortstop prospect is a top 100 player in the 2025 class. He is also a top five player in this recent recruiting cycle from the state of Illinois.
