(Press Release; Pan American Baseball Confederation) – The Venezuelan teams closed out the Opening Round of the U10 International Championship with victories and will compete for the gold medal.

Venezuela White (5-1) defeated Brazil (2-4), while Venezuela Blue came from behind to defeat Panama (1-5).

Venezuela (White) defeated Brazil 12-2 by knockout in five and a half innings.

The best player for Venezuela was Klever García, who went 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, a run scored, and five RBIs.

In the second game, Venezuela (Blue) defeated Panama 7-6, coming from behind to finish the Opening Round on a positive note. Arturo Rodríguez was the standout player for Venezuela, going 2-for-1 with an RBI.

The Medal Round begins at 9:30 a.m. with Panama visiting Brazil, followed by Venezuela (Blue) visiting Venezuela (White) for the gold medal.
