Nippon Professional Baseball announced the Gold Glove Award winners for the 2023 season Friday.
In the Central League, the 2023 Japan Series champion Hanshin Tigers had five Gold Glove winners, with catcher Seishiro Sakamoto, first baseman Yusuke Ohyama, second baseman Takumu Nakano, shortstop Seiya Kinami, and outfielder Koji Chikamoto taking home the award.
The Yokohama DeNA BayStars had three winners, pitcher Katsuki Azuma, third baseman Toshiro Miyazaki, and outfielder Masayuki Kuwahara. Outfielder Yuki Okabayashi was the lone winner for the Chunichi Dragons.

In the Pacific League, three Orix Buffaloes won the Gold Glove – pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto, third baseman Yuma Mune, and catcher Kenya Wakatsuki.
First baseman Akira Nakamura and outfielder Kensuke Kondoh from the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks, second baseman Shogo Nakamura of the Chiba Lotte Marines, shortstop Sosuke Genda of the Seitama Seibu Lions, outfielder Chusei Mannami of the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, and outfielder Ryosuke Tatsumi of the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles also won the Gold Glove in the Pacific League.
