ARLINGTON, TX – The college baseball season kicked off in Arlington, Texas, with a matchup between the Clemson Tigers and Oklahoma State Cowboys. Clemson won the season opener 6-5.
It was the 29th game Oklahoma State has played at Globe Life Field, the most out of any team in college baseball. Their record in those 29 games sits at 17-12.

Despite the loss on Friday, the Cowboys have found lots of success in neutral-site games at the Texas Rangers ballpark. Last season, they won three games against Arkansas, Michigan, and Abilene Christian. In 2023, they beat Missouri in a game at Globe Life Field.
Before those two seasons in 2022, Oklahoma State played a three-game series against the BYU Cougars and beat them in two of those matchups.
Their success in Arlington also comes from the Big 12 Tournament. The Cowboys won four of their five games, leading to a 2024 Big 12 Tournament title. After their only conference tournament loss to UCF, Oklahoma State outscored its next three opponents 23-4.
That conference tournament title for the Cowboys was their second in five years.
In the 2023 Big 12 Tournament, Oklahoma State reached the final to play the TCU Horned Frogs. Although they did not win the tournament, they did win four games.
