The Semi-Finals of the Serie de Las Americas have come and gone, and only two teams are left as we head into the tournament’s final day.

Panama 7 – Curacao 0

Everyone expected Curacao to win easily as they have done all tournament, but in a shocking turn of events, Panama dominated the game. Panama had to play a perfect game to move on to the finals, and they did. They were led by Antonio Arauz, who would record three RBIS.  4-7 all recorded at least one RBI. The star of the game was pitcher Ariel Jimenez, who would throw seven beautiful scoreless innings, and Jorge Garcia would close the game out with two scoreless innings as Panama moved onto the finals.

Nicaragua 5 – Cuba 4

The other Semi-Final game came down to the wire, and Nicaragua edged out the win over Cuba thanks to clutch hitting and strong pitching. Elian Miranda was the lead hitter for Nicaragua, and he recorded the clutch go-ahead two-run single in the bottom of the seventh inning. Nicaragua would not give away the lead again, as Angel Obando came on to record the final out to send Nicaragua to the finals.
