Ahead of the three-game series between the Dodgers and Astros, FOCO released a dual bobblehead featuring two of MLB’s brightest international stars. The bobblehead showcases Shohei Ohtani in the Dodgers’ road uniform next to Yordan Alvarez in the Astros’ home white jerseys.

The limited edition bobblehead will sell 224 units before the stock runs out. The bobblehead comes before the Dodgers and Astros begin their series on Friday. The first game of the series was selected for Friday Night Baseball on Apple TV+.

The two players featured on the bobblehead are two of the best international players in the MLB today. Ohtani is the current favorite in the NL to win his third MVP. The Japanese-born player has been on a tear in his seventh MLB season. He leads the NL in average at .312 and home runs with 31. The second half has just begun, but 2024 has already been a record-breaking season for Ohtani.

Alvarez has been a star for the Astros since the Cuban-born player became a mainstay in their lineup in 2021. He was recently selected to his third straight All-Star game. Through 97 games this season, Alvarez is batting .303 with 20 home runs. He recently hit for the cycle in a 6-4 loss to the Mariners on July 21.

The two teams will face off in Houston for their first meeting of the year. Both teams have storied histories, and the two have been rivals since the 2017 World Series, which began the Astros cheating scandal. The Dodgers are first in the NL West with a 62-42 record. After a slow start, the Astros have climbed back into first in the AL West with a 53-49 record.
