The Los Angeles Dodgers are hosting a Shohei Ohtani bobblehead giveaway on Thursday, May 16. The Cincinnati Reds are traveling to town, and the first 40,000 fans in attendance will receive a limited-edition bobblehead courtesy of Guggenheim.
The two-way superstar has been dominant at the plate this year. He leads the Dodgers in batting average and home runs. On Tuesday night, he hit the longest home run in San Francisco in nearly two years when he blasted a Keaton Winn pitch 468 feet over the left-center field wall.

Since injuring a ligament in his throwing elbow in 2023 prevented Ohtani from pitching, he has been the Dodgers’ designated hitter all year. This has not limited his impact, however. He leads the league in batting average, only trails Kyle Tucker for the league lead in home runs, and has 30 RBIs to go along with it.
Ohtani left the Angels this past offseason hoping to find more team success with the cross-town rivals. The Dodgers have jumped out to a great start and already lead the NL West by 7.5 games. If they keep it up, Ohtani will get the chance to put his talents on display in the postseason for the first time in his MLB career.
