Cardenales de Lara (7-3) 10, Bravos de Margarita (6-4) 3 – The Cardenales took a 6-2 lead in the top of the eighth and added four more in the top of the ninth to regain the lead in the LVBP round robin and snap a three-game losing streak. Hernan Perez went 2-for-5, driving in four runs with an RBI single in the eighth and a three-run homer in the ninth for Lara. Starter Jimmy Endersby allowed two runs on three hits over six innings to earn the win.
Navegantes de Magallanes (4-6) 17, Aguilas del Zulia (5-4) 4 – The Navegantes boat raced the Aguilas, scoring three runs in three different innings and six in the sixth to earn their fourth win of the round robin. Five different Magallanes batters had multi-RBI games, and Renato Nunez went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and three RBIs. Only two of seven Zulia pitchers, neither of whom lasted a full inning, appeared in the game without allowing a run.

Caneros de Los Mochis 2, Algodoneros de Guasave 1 – Rodolfo Amador drove in the series-winning run in the sixth with a single to left field that scored Isaac Rodriguez, giving Los Mochis a lead that held up for a 4-3 series win. Four Caneros pitchers combined to allow one run on five hits and a walk, striking out 10. Alan Lopez’ solo homer gave Guasave its only run of the game. The Caneros will face the Tomateros de Culiacan in the second round, which begins Saturday night.
