Leones del Escogido (10-5) 8, Tigres del Licey (11-4) 6 – The Leones captured a berth in the LIDOM championship series by topping Licey, who they will face in the best-of-seven series on Saturday night, battling back from a 6-2 deficit with a five-run fifth inning. Jose Siri started off the inning with a two-run single, and Zoilo Almonte and Jean Segura followed with RBI singles to tie the game. Pedro Severino was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to push Almonte across with the go-ahead run, and an inning later, Junior Caminero provided insurance with a solo homer.
Aguilas Cibaenas (4-11) 7, Estrellas Orientales (5-10) 7 (11 Innings) – The Aguilas got four runs in the top of the 11th to take a 7-3 lead, and promptly allowed three runs in the bottom of the inning, letting the Estrellas back in the game before finally putting their last game of the round robin away. Yefri Perez went 3-for-4 with three RBIs for the Estrellas.

Indios de Mayaguez 2, Senadores de San Juan 1 – Mayaguez took a 2-0 series lead, with David MacKinnon driving in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth with a single to left that sent Eddie Rosario home to end the game. Martin Maldonado hit a solo homer for Mayaguez. Starter Ed Rivera threw five shutout innings for the Indios, allowing three hits and three walks, striking out seven. Kenen Irizarry scored San Juan’s lone run with a solo homer.
Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacifico
Tomateros de Culiacan 6, Caneros de Los Mochis 2 – The Tomateros, who won the first half of the LAMP regular season, advanced to the championship series with Saturday’s win. Luis Verdugo hit a two-run homer in the second and a solo homer in the seventh for Culiacan, going 3-for-4 with two runs scored, two homers, and five RBIs. Starter David Reyes threw seven innings, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk, striking out four.
