Indios de Mayaguez 2, Senadores de San Juan 0 – Starter Luis Leroy Cruz took a no-hitter into the top of the seventh for Mayaguez, leaving after surrendering a double to Ramon Rodriguez, and the Indios bullpen made a two-run lead hold up as they took a 3-0 series lead. Danny Ortiz’ sac fly in the fifth allowed Isan Diaz to score the game’s first run, and Anthony Garcia’s ground out with runners at the corners in the eighth allowed Danny Ortiz to come home with the insurance run.

Bravos de Margarita 12, Cardenales de Lara 4 – Margarita led by four after one inning and six after two, then added six more in the middle innings to run away with game two of the LVBP championship series and take a 2-0 series lead. Juan Santana went 3-for-5 with a homer, three runs scored and two RBIs for the Bravos, and Herlis Rodriguez drove in three runs, one with a single in the first and two with a double in the sixth. The Margarita bullpen allowed one run over four innings, giving up four hits and a walk.

Tigres del Licey 4, Leones del Escogido 4 (14 Innings) – Socrates Brito hit a two-run homer in the fifth for Licey, and Sergio Alcantara’s sac fly in the bottom of the 14th sent Michael De La Cruz scampering home with the winning run as the Tigres took the opener of the LIDOM championship series. Ten Licey relievers combined to allow just two hits over the final 10 innings, though Zach Muckenhirn gave up five walks in his 1 1/3 innings of work in the extra frames, but maintained the lead despite walking the bases loaded with no outs in the top of the 14th.
