As the Czech Republic prepares for the upcoming 2024 Formosa Series in Asia, the Swiss Series will be taking place in the Czech Republic, beginning tonight. Former MLB Cy Young Award-winner Trevor Bauer will pitch against the Czech Republic, where he will throw for Switzerland. He will pitch on Sunday.
This will be the Czech Republic’s national team’s last performance on their home turf before they fly out to Asia for the Formosa Series. They will play at the Taipei Dome in Taipei, Taiwan, on November 2 and 3. The following week, the team will head to Nagoya, Japan, and play two games from November 9 to 10.
Tickets for the event have been hard to come by. For Sunday, October 20, tickets for “Grandstand A” at Eagles Park are completely sold out. Plenty of seats remain available for tonight’s matchup against Switzerland, with an unlimited number of standing-room tickets sold one hour before both games at 150 CZK (6.46 USD).
It will be intriguing to see Bauer pitch on Sunday, as plenty of fans in the Czech Republic are ecstatic to see the former MLB pitcher. Today’s matchup will begin at 2 PM EST against Switzerland.
