Trevor Bauer will take the mound in Prague, Czech Republic, for the Swiss Series on October 20th.

Bauer will pitch for the Switzerland National Team against the Czechia National Team. The two countries are playing a two-game exhibition series on October 19 and 20.

Bauer most recently pitched for the Diablos Rojors in the Liga Mexicana de Béisbol. He won pitcher of the year in the league. Bauer went 10-0 with a 2.48 ERA in 14 starts for the Diablos Rojos. He led the league in strikeouts with 120 in 83⅓ innings. He also had a 19-strikeout game against the Oaxaca Guerreros on June 21. That set a Liga Mexicana de Béisbol record.

Bauer has started 212 Major League Baseball games and won an ERA Title and Cy Young Award. The former All-Star has not pitched in the majors since 2021.

Bauer has been trying to revive his big-league career after serving a 194-game suspension for violating MLB’s domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse policy.

Since his last MLB start, Bauer has also pitched for the Yokohama Bay Stars of Nippon Professional Baseball. He made 19 starts with a 10-4 record and a 2.76 ERA.

Bauer will start opposite Daniel Padyšák, whom the Czech Baseball X account described as their “young ace.”
