On Tuesday, the Vanderbilt Commodores landed a huge high school prospect in the 2026 class. Left-handed pitcher Bo Holloway from Nolensville, Tenn., announced his commitment to Vanderbilt. He is the top-ranked player from Tennessee and the number nine overall player in the country.

During the 2024 season with Nolensville High School, Holloway had a 1.79 ERA and 94 strikeouts. He finished with a 7-2 record. He can also reach mid to high 90s on his fastball with his huge six-foot-five-inch frame.

Holloway was a highly sought-after recruit from many of the top programs in college baseball. He chose the Commodores over schools like Tennessee, Texas, and LSU.

Holloway is the highest-ranked recruit in Vanderbilt’s 2026 high school class. Head coach Tim Corbin has been aggressive in attracting talent back to Nashville so the Commodores can compete for national championships again.

According to Perfect Game, Vanderbilt is currently ranked fourth in the country in the 2026 college baseball recruiting rankings. Their class has nine top 100 players. Vanderbilt had the ninth overall class in 2025, which shows the improvement the Commodores’ recruiting is making.

Only Texas, Tennessee, and LSU have better 2026 classes than Vanderbilt.
