The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) announced on December 10 that the second Baseball Champions League Americas event will take place from April 8 to 13, 2025, at Estadio Alfredo Harp Helu in Mexico City, Mexico.
Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium is home to the 2024 Liga Mexicana de Beisbol champion, Diablos Rojos del México.
According to International Baseball Researcher Jeff Duda , the club teams that will participate in the 2025 BCL Américas tournament are Diablos Rojos del México, the 2023-24 Liga de Béisbol Profesional Nacional champion in Nicaragua, Tigres de Chinandega, the 2024 runner-up in the Curacao Professional Baseball league, Santa Maria Pirates, the 2024 Cuban Serie Nacional champion, Leñadores de Las Tunas, the Liga de Béisbol Superior Doble A champion Titanes de Florida, and the 2024 American Association champion, Kane County Cougars.

The first edition of the BCL Americas event took place from September 28 to October 1, 2023. The 2023 American Association Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks won the championship game at Parque Kukulcán Alamo in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico, over the 2022-23 Liga Professional De Baseball Colombia champion, Caimanes de Barranquilla.
The 2022 LMB champions, the Leones de Yucatan, hosted the 2023 BCL Americas event. The 2023 Serie Nacional Alazanes de Granma also participated in the four-day global club tournament.
The WBSC’s president, Riccardo Fraccari , stated on the governing sports body’s website, “The Champions League Americas opens a new chapter in international baseball after the first edition. “We look forward to launching a Champions League Asia and a Champions League Europe. We foresee the day when we will honor Champion of Champions, the winner of the global Champions League.
No game start times have yet to be announced by the WBSC for the 2025 BCL Americas event.
This will be the second WBSC Americas club event in the history of global baseball.
