Truist Field hosts the 2025 All-Star Game Weekend

The 2025 Major League Baseball season features national broadcasts across Fox, ESPN, TBS, Apple TV+, and The Roku Channel. Fans can tune in through traditional cable providers or stream games on various platforms.

Fox Saturday Baseball

Fox continues its Saturday baseball tradition in 2025, beginning with a doubleheader on March 29. Games will air on Fox and FS1 and are available for streaming through the Fox Sports App.

Fox, celebrating its 30th season of MLB coverage, has assembled a distinguished lineup of broadcasters. The lead game broadcast team features play-by-play announcer Joe Davis, analyst John Smoltz, and field reporters Ken Rosenthal and Tom Verducci. New additions to the booth this season include Adam Wainwright and Connor Onion, joining a lineup that also features Jason Benetti, A.J. Pierzynski, Adam Amin, Eric Karros, Kevin Kugler, Jeff Levering, and Don Orsillo. Studio coverage is anchored by Kevin Burkhardt, alongside analysts Derek Jeter, David Ortiz, and Alex Rodriguez.

ESPN’s Final Season of Sunday Night Baseball

Sunday Night Baseball returns for its 36th and final season on ESPN. The season begins on March 30 when the Atlanta Braves face the San Diego Padres. Games start at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN, with streaming available on the ESPN App, ESPN Radio, and ESPN Deportes. Baseball Tonight: Sunday Night Countdown provides pre-game coverage at 6 p.m. ET.

Apple TV+ Friday Night Baseball

Apple TV+ continues its exclusive coverage of Friday Night Baseball with weekly doubleheaders. The first set of games on March 28 features the Baltimore Orioles playing the Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Mets taking on the Houston Astros.

Apple TV+ began its exclusive “Friday Night Baseball” coverage on April 8, 2022, offering weekly doubleheaders. This coverage is part of a seven-year agreement between Apple and Major League Baseball, valued at approximately $85 million annually. The 2025 season continues this partnership, with the first set of games on March 28 featuring the Baltimore Orioles playing the Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Mets taking on the Houston Astros. Fans can access these broadcasts through an Apple TV+ subscription.

The Roku Channel’s Sunday Leadoff

In May 2024, Roku secured exclusive rights to stream “MLB Sunday Leadoff,” a package of 18 Sunday afternoon games per season. The agreement is reportedly backloaded, with Roku paying $10 million for the 2024 season, $8 million in 2025, and $12 million in 2026. The inaugural broadcast on May 19, 2024, featured the St. Louis Cardinals hosting the Boston Red Sox. These games are available to stream for free on The Roku Channel, accessible via Roku devices or the Roku app on other platforms, without a subscription.

TBS, truTV, and MLB Network

TNT Sports airs MLB Tuesday games on TBS, with streaming available on Max. TBS and truTV will continue to air Tuesday night games and select regular-season matchups under the TNT Sports umbrella. The streaming service Max will simulcast TBS’s MLB coverage. MLB Network will provide additional national coverage throughout the season. TNT Sports released the first half of its Tuesday Regular Season schedule in Jan. 2025.

In 2024, TBS aired 26 Tuesday-night games during the regular season. truTV introduced MLB Race to the Pennant, branded as a whip-around show that provides real-time look-ins on Tuesday nights. The show focuses on key moments from multiple ongoing MLB games, similar to NFL RedZone or March Madness Fast Break.

In its first-ever regular-season MLB game, truTV aired the Sept. 17 matchup between the Astros and the Padres. Meanwhile, MLB Network continued its daily coverage, mostly simulcasting regional sports network feeds, while also producing select games under its MLB Network Showcase banner, which were blacked out in local markets.

MLB Network will continue airing select regular-season matchups and postseason coverage. Max’s MLB content is part of Warner Bros. Discovery’s sports package, which bundles TBS, truTV, and TNT Sports coverage.

Local and Regional Coverage

Each MLB team has a dedicated regional broadcast partner for games not nationally televised. FanDuel Sports Network airs games for the Tigers, Royals, Angels, Brewers, Twins, Cardinals, Rays, and Rangers. NBC Sports covers the White Sox, Phillies, Athletics, and Giants.

In New York, SNY airs Mets games, while YES Network broadcasts Yankees games. In its second year of a streaming deal, Amazon Prime Video holds exclusive rights to 21 Yankees games per season, available to Prime members in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

SportsNet Pittsburgh and Space City Home Network air Pirates and Astros games. NESN covers the Red Sox, and Marquee Sports Network carries Cubs games. Rockies games are now available through the team’s direct-to-consumer streaming service, ROCKIES.TV, along with select cable and satellite providers. The Mariners are on Root Sports Northwest.

MASN is the regional home for the Nationals and Orioles, while Sportsnet broadcasts Blue Jays games in Canada. The Padres shifted to a free over-the-air broadcast model in 2024, making their games available locally without a traditional RSN.

Spectrum SportsNet LA remains the exclusive home of the Dodgers.

How to Watch

MLB games are available through cable subscriptions and streaming platforms. ESPN, Fox Sports, Apple TV+, and The Roku Channel each provide national coverage, with Apple TV+ requiring a subscription and The Roku Channel offering select games for free.

With Sunday Night Baseball ending after 2025, this season represents a significant shift in MLB’s national television landscape.
