Yale’s Jack Ohman Throws Shutout Against Columbia

On Friday, the Yale Bulldogs got a 3-0 win over the Columbia Lions. This win came in large part from a complete game shutout from starting pitcher Jack Ohman.

In the nine full innings he pitched, Ohman threw six strikeouts and had no walks. When the game was all said and done, he threw 115 total pitches.

The win moved Ohman’s record to 5-0 this season. He has a 0.19 ERA in 47.1 innings of work. This makes him the best pitcher in the Ivy League as he leads the conference in ERA. He has given up just one earned run all season and has allowed an opposing batting average of .157.

The freshman right-hander has been named Ivy League Rookie of the Week three times in the 2025 college baseball season. He was also named Ivy League Pitcher of the Week a couple times back in March.

In short, Ohman is a weapon for the Yale Bulldogs to have. The team has a pitcher that can deliver an automatic win for them at any point right now.

Yale is 20-9 overall and 8-3 in Ivy League play. They already have the series win sealed over Columbia this weekend and can go for the sweep tomorrow.

The final game of the weekend series between Yale and Columbia is scheduled for Sunday, April 13, at 1 p.m. EST. The game will be played at George H.W. Bush ‘48 Field in New Haven, Conn.
