For the first time in Euro Baseball’s history, WBSC Europe announced that the Baseball European Championship 2025 will take place in three countries: the Netherlands, Italy, and Belgium. Groups A and B feature the top eight teams from the 2023 editions and will play in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Group C will play in Senago, Italy, and Group D will play in Borgenhout, Belgium.

After the group stages conclude, the top 12 European teams will head to Rotterdam for the quarterfinals, followed by the semifinals and championship games. The Championship game will see a champion crowned in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

The teams included in Group C will be in Senago, Milan, Italy, Switzerland, Greece, and one qualified team from 2024. The fourth team will be announced at the WBSC Europe Executive Board meeting in Zagreb towards the end of November.

Group D will be hosted in Borgenhout, Antwerp. It includes Croatia, Belgium, and two additional teams from the 2024 Qualifiers. The teams will also be announced at the end of November.

The composition of the groups was determined by the final standings during the 2023 competition. The teams were then distributed across the groups based on previous rankings. Spain won the Baseball European Championship in 2023. The top-ranked teams are assigned to groups A and B, as those groups will compete in Rotterdam, Netherlands, to start the Euro Baseball Championship.

The European Championships will begin during the last week of September 2025, as Rotterdam, Milan, and Borgerhout set to host the group stages, while Rotterdam ramps up to host the final round.

As for the competition in 2027, the Baseball European Championship will return to a single-country format, with Germany set to serve as the host nation. Regensburg will be the main venue for the Baseball European Championship in 2027.
