Globe Life Field is host of the 2025 Big 12 Tournament Schedule at Globe Life Field from May 21–24

The 2025 Big 12 Conference Championship will take place from May 21 to 24 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, home of Major League Baseball’s Texas Rangers.

The single-elimination tournament will feature 12 programs and will be televised across the ESPN family of networks, with the championship game airing on ESPNU.

In 2024, the Big 12 Championship was held at Globe Life Field in the same year as the MLB All-Star Game and the MLB Draft, which took place at Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas.

This year marks the fourth consecutive Big 12 Championship hosted at Globe Life Field. Arlington also hosted the event at the Ballpark in Arlington, the former home of the Rangers, in 2002 and 2004.

Arizona and Arizona State are competing in their first Big 12 season in 2025.

TCU and Oklahoma State have each won the Big 12 Championship four times, the most of any program. Baylor, Kansas, and Texas Tech have each won once.

The NCAA Tournament Selection Monday Show will air on May 26 at 12 p.m. Eastern on ESPNU.

Globe Life Field Expands Its College Baseball Legacy

Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers, has become the Madison Square Garden of college baseball, hosting the Shriners Children’s College Showdown, the College Baseball Series, and the Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship since 2022.

The stadium opened in 2020 and set a record in 2024, hosting 41 college baseball games—the most ever in a single year at the venue and the highest total among all active and former Major League Baseball stadiums.

In 2021, Globe Life Field expanded its role in college baseball by hosting the State Farm College Baseball Showdown, which featured Arkansas, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, TCU, Texas, and Texas Tech to open the regular season.

After the 2020 NCAA Division I season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, programs including Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Sam Houston, Stephen F. Austin, Tarleton State, Texas A&M, Texas State, UL-Monroe, and UT-Arlington played selective regular season games at the venue in 2021.

In 2022, the State Farm College Baseball Showdown featured Arizona, Auburn, Kansas State, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Texas Tech. Neutral-site regular season games that year included BYU, Dallas Baptist, Nebraska, Northwestern State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Sam Houston, TCU, Texas, and UT-Arlington.

That May, the 2022 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship was held at Globe Life Field, with Oklahoma defeating a field that included Baylor, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech, and West Virginia. It was the first NCAA Division I Power Five conference championship hosted at the stadium.

The 2023 State Farm Showdown included Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas, and Vanderbilt. Regular season games at Globe Life Field also featured Abilene Christian, Baylor, DBU, Oklahoma, TCU, and UT-Arlington. TCU won the 2023 Big 12 Championship, defeating a field that again included Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas Tech, and West Virginia.

In 2024, Globe Life Field opened the season with the Shriners Children’s College Showdown, featuring Baylor, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, and Texas Tech. The Kubota College Baseball Series returned over three weekends. The second weekend featured Arkansas, Michigan, Oklahoma State, and Oregon State. The third brought Arizona State, TCU, Texas A&M, and USC. A final midweek event included Abilene Christian, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Texas Tech, and UT-Arlington.

Oklahoma State won the 2024 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship at Globe Life Field, defeating a field that included Cincinnati, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech, UCF, and West Virginia.

Cincinnati and UCF made their Big 12 Conference tournament debuts in 2024, ahead of Texas and Oklahoma’s departure for the Southeastern Conference in 2025.

To open the 2025 season, the Shriners College Showdown returned from February 14 to 16, featuring Oklahoma State, Arizona, Clemson, Louisville, Texas, and Ole Miss.

The AmegyBank College Baseball Series followed, with TCU, Michigan, Arkansas, and Kansas State competing from February 21 to 23. The second weekend featured Auburn, Ohio State, Baylor, and Oregon State from February 28 to March 2.

Midweek games at Globe Life Field included Texas State vs. Oklahoma State on February 18, LSU vs. Dallas Baptist on February 26, and Wichita State vs. Abilene Christian on March 5. A scheduled game between Oklahoma and UT-Arlington on February 19 was postponed.
