The Braves took game one of a critical series against the Mets in Atlanta. Here’s everything you missed from last night’s MLB action.
Atlanta Braves 5, New York Mets 1
Shortly after finding out Austin Riley would miss the rest of the season, the Braves got one of their most important wins of the year. The 5-1 win cuts the Mets lead in the Wild Card race to one game.

Milwaukee Brewers 7, Pittsburgh Pirates 2
The Brewers made easy work of the Pirates as Willy Adames stole his 20th base of the year. He and Jackson Chourio are the first Brewers teammates to be in the 20/20 club together.
Detroit Tigers 2, Tampa Bay Rays 1
The Tigers keep winning as they look to secure their postseason spot. Tarik Skubal pitched seven scoreless innings with seven strikeouts.
Cleveland Guardians 6, Cincinnati Reds 1
Guardians rookie Kyle Manzardo continued to show off his pop as he swatted his fifth home run since being called back up in September.
Chicago Cubs 10, Philadelphia Phillies 4
Cody Bellinger went 3-5 at the plate, including a triple, as the Cubs scored ten runs without a single home run.
Kansas City Royals 1, Washington Nationals 0
The only run of the contest came in the top of the 10th inning when Bobby Witt Jr. singled to the shortstop. A throwing error brought the lead-off run home.
Baltimore Orioles 5, New York Yankees 3
The Orioles were celebrating on a night when the Yankees could have clinched the division. With the win, the Orioles clinched a playoff berth, and the Yankees will have to wait another game to try to clinch the division.

Boston Red Sox 6, Toronto Blue Jays 5
An extra-inning thriller ended with the Blue Jays coming up short. The Red Sox scored three runs in the top of the 10th inning, and the Blue Jays were only able to respond with two.
Chicago White Sox 3, Los Angeles Angels 2
The White Sox avoided their 121st loss thanks to a three-run eighth inning. Jonathan Cannon went six quality innings in the win.

Miami Marlins 4, Minnesota Twins 1
The Marlins added to the Twins recent collapse. With the loss, the Twins are now two games back of the Tigers and Royals for a Wild Card spot.
Houston Astros 4, Seattle Mariners 3
The Astros win clinched the division for them. Alex Bergman hit his 26th home run of the year as the Astros bullpen took care of business after a shaky start from Framer Valdez.
St. Louis Cardinals 7, Colorado Rockies 3
A two-run home run from Mason Winn started things for the Cardinals, and a four-run eighth inning finished things.
San Francisco Giants 11, Arizona Diamondbacks 0
The Giants shut out the Diamondbacks behind six innings from Logan Webb. The Diamondbacks are in danger of losing their spot in the postseason.
Oakland Athletics 5, Texas Rangers 4
In a forgettable year for the reigning World Series champions, the A’s added to the low lights. The A’s walked off the Rangers in the first game of the final series at the Coliseum. With 30,000 fans in attendance, Jacob Wilson hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth inning.
San Diego Padres 4, Los Angeles Dodgers 2
The Padres have quietly been on the Dodgers tail all season. A sweep in this series would make things very interesting. The Padres turned a triple play to secure the game-one win, clinching a postseason berth.
Padres keep adding on! A win would put them two games out of first place.
