Clemson’s Jarren Purify Riding 11-Game Hitting Streak Heading into ACC Play

The Clemson Tigers have a red-hot 17-1 record heading into conference play. Head coach Erik Bakich’s team has won 15 games in a row.

Over this big winning streak, second baseman Jarren Purify has been the pulse Clemson’s offense has needed. He is currently riding an 11-game hitting streak.

In these past 11 games, Purify has 20 hits and 13 RBI. The stretch of excellent performances at the plate has boosted his season batting average and on-base percentage to .462 and .535, respectively.

In short, he has been the team leader in sheer hitting all season.

When it comes to power-hitting, Purify’s three home runs this year are second on the team only to Josh Paino.

The Detroit-native is clearly hitting a sophomore breakout in Clemson. He is over halfway to his hit total from his freshman season, has just as many home runs already, and is 10 RBI away from tying his RBI total in 2024.

Purify heads into ACC play as a top five hitter in the conference along with the likes of Florida State’s Alex Lodise and Wake Forest’s Kade Lewis.

The Tigers’ first ACC series of the season is against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at home in Doug Kingsmore Stadium. The series will consist of three games, with the first game scheduled for Friday, Mar. 14, at 4 p.m. EST.
