POSITION PLAYERS:
The last time the Czech national team took to the field was for the Swiss Series. They were tasked with facing former N.L. Cy Young Award Winner Trevor Bauer, who suited up with Switzerland for the action. They would win both games, 10-2 and 12-0. Over 1,383 were in attendance to watch the Czech team before their trip to Asia.
One player that most fans will have their eyes on will be outfielder Marek Chlup. Chlup recently signed a developmental contract with the Yomiuri Giants in Nippon Professional Baseball. He became the first player born in the Czech Republic to sign a contract in Japan. So far, in some fall action in Japan, Chlup has slugged three home runs since joining the Giants.
The team arrived in Taiwan on Thursday, October 31. They toured around Taipei City and got to warm up and practice at the Taipei Dome. They will face Taiwan tomorrow at the Taipei Dome, with the first pitch scheduled for 5 AM EST. Fans can watch all the action live on CT Sport and CT 2.
