Hank is the owner of the Calisports League and is a longtime sponsor of the LMB and Mexican sports. Calisports League’s main property is Caliente.mx, an online sports wagering platform and online casino.
Hank’s club announced the new name, revealed the new uniforms and logo, and announced the preseason roster on Tuesday. The roster is largely composed of players who were committed to playing for the Generales de Durango before that franchise was suspended due to the owner’s legal woes.

By granting Hank a new franchise in Durango to replace the Generales, the LMB avoided playing the season with 19 teams, which would have meant that a team would need to sit idle every night of the season. Such a scheduling problem would have cut into ticket, concession, and sponsorship revenue for each team in the league.
Had thea league gone forward with 19 teams, the Tecolotes de Los Dos Laredos would have lost nine home games, or roughly 20% of their home schedule. Saltillo, Monclova, Monterrey, and Union Laguna would have each lost six home games, while Chihuahua, Campeche, Quintana Roo, Aguascalientes, and Jalisco would have each lost three home games.
The Caliente de Durango will open the season on the road with a three-game series at Saltillo on Apr1l 12-14.
