Jazz Chisholm Jr. helped the New York Yankees stay afloat during game five of the 2024 World Series. Right after Aaron Judge hit a two-run home run to make it 2-0 in the first inning.
Chisholm added insurance with a solo shot to make it 3-0.

It was the third baseman’s second home run of the postseason. His previous one came on Oct. 7 in the ALDS against the Kansas City Royals. This postseason, the Nassau native has a .256 batting average. He also has a .760 OPS, ten hits, and six stolen bases.
Half of his postseason hits have come during the World Series.
More importantly, in addition to hitting his second postseason home run, Chisholm became the first player from the Bahamas to hit a home run in the World Series.
This is a significant milestone for a country that has produced a few MLB players like Antoan Richardson and Ed Armbrister. Both of those players, like Chisholm, are from Nassau.
