As the Premier12 concludes, the baseball world shifts focus to Latin America. This year, the All-Star Game in the Liga Venezolana de Beisbol (LVBP) will host the Japan Breeze.

Guiseppe Palmisano, the president of LVBP, made the announcement earlier in November. The announcement was made in the company of the Minister of Sport, Arnaldo Sanchez, and the Japan Breeze vice president, Erwin Miyasaka. As for the Japan Breeze, this will be a preamble of the Japanese team that is set to participate in the Caribbean Series 2025, being held in Mexicali.

As for the team that Venezuela will assemble, they will be led by former MLB veteran and skipper Ozzie Guillen. Their roster will include several players playing for the teams representing the LVBP. For the Japan Breeze, Venezuelan icon Alex Ramirez will be managing against Guillen. Ramirez, the lone Latino of the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame, is tasked with announcing the complete roster, where he notes several surprises.

Last year’s All-Star Game for LVBP was a matchup between the Western League and the Eastern League, with the West defeating the East 9-2. Ildemaro Vargas was crowned MVP, going 2-3 with a home run, two runs scored, and driving in two RBIs.

The Breeze are set to arrive in Venezuela on December 6 and will begin training in Maputo, the UCV, and El Monumental. Also, they will give several clinics to minor baseball schools to help strengthen ties between both nations.

The game between the LVBP All-Stars and the Japan Breeze is set to take place on December 10. The event will be held at Estadio Monumental Simon Bolivar.
