Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacifico Semifinals Run Down

The 2024-25 Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacifico (LAMP) Semifinals will start on January 11 with the No. 1 seed, Tomateros de Culiacán playing the No. 4 seed, Cañeros de Los Mochis at home at Estadio Tomateros in Culiacan, Mexico at 7 p.m. EST. and the No. 2 seed, Naranjeros de Hermosillo going up against the No. 3 seed, Charros de Jalisco at Estadio Fernando Valenzuela in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico at 8 p.m. EST.

The Cañeros de Los Mochis have four LAMP championships, the Naranjeros de Hermosillo have 17, the Charros de Jalisco won two, and the Tomateros de Culiacan have won 13.

The 2024-25 LAMP regular season winner will play in the 2025 Caribbean Series at Estadio Nido de los Águilas in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, from January 31 until February 7. All 2025 Caribbean Series games will be televised on ESPN Deportes until the final out of the championship game on February 7.

This is the second time that Mexcali is hosting the Caribbean Series at Estadio Nido de los Águilas since the 2009 event, when the 2008-09 LVBP champion, the Tigres de Aragua, won.

Mexico hosted the Caribbean Series in Hermosillo in 1974, 1982, 1987, 1992, 1997, and 2013.

Mazatlan hosted the Caribbean Series in 1978, 1989, 1993, 2005 and 2021. Culiacan held the event in 2001 and 2017 alongside Guadalajara in 2018, which was the only time the country hosted.

The other four teams that will participate in the 2025 Caribbean Series are five teams: the Liga de Beisbol Profesional Roberto Clemente in Puerto Rico, the Liga Venezolana de Beisbol Profesional, the Liga de Béisbol Profesional de la República Dominicana, and one invitee with the Japan Breeze team that will appear in the tournament for the first time.

The LAMP, LVBP, LIDOM, and LBPRC are all part of the Confederación de Béisbol Profesional del Caribe (CBPC).

All 2024-25 LAMP playoff games are streamed on the league’s website with a paid subscription.

All 2024-25 LAMP playoffs schedule updates are located at LMP.mx.

This is the 80th season that the Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico has been in operation.

The 2024-25 LAMP playoff semifinals resulted in the remaining teams left having regular season records, with the Tomateros de Culiacán winning the regular season title with their record at 43-25, the Naranjeros de Hermosillo finishing second at 42-26, the Charros de Jalisco in third place at 37-31, the Cañeros de Los Mochis finished in fourth place at 37-31.

The managers for the four remaining teams left in the 2024-25 LAMP postseason are Juan Gabriel Castro for the Naranjeros de Hermosillo, Oscar Robles for the Tomateros de Culiacán, Benji Gil for the Charros de Jalisco, and Felix Fermin for the Cañeros de Los Mochis.

All the rounds of the 2024-25 LAMP playoffs are best-of-seven series.

The Tomateros de Culiacan won in the 2025-25 LAMP first-round quarterfinals to the No. 8 seed, Venados de Mazatlan in five games, the Cañeros de Los Mochis won in seven games to the No. 5 seed, Algodoneros de Guasave, the Naranjeros de Hermosillo won in six games over the No. 7 seed, Yaquis de Obregon, and the Charros de Jalisco won in five games to the No. 6 seed and 2025 Caribbean Series host, Aguilas de Mexicali.

The name of the LAMP best-of-seven-championship series will be called Serie de Mexico for the first time. The league trophy will be in memory of Mexican baseball icon left-handed pitcher Fernando Valenzuela.

All the recent players in the 2024-25 LAMP reinforcement draft were selected on January 10.

All current player and team stat leaders are located on the league’s website.

Mexico will participate in the Caribbean Series for the 54th consecutive year once they take the field against Puerto Rico on January 31 at Estadio Nido de los Águilas.
