Navegantes del Magallanes 11, Cardenales de Lara 7 - Yadier Molina's club is in the win column. After starting the season with six consecutive losses, the Navegantes broke out for 11 runs and 15 hits on Monday against the Cardenales.

Right fielder Angel Reyes opened the scoring with a two-run shot in the top of the first, but Lara answered back with three runs in the bottom of the frame. By the end of the third, three more runs had crossed the plate for the Cardenales, and a seventh loss seemed likely for Magallanes.

In the seventh, the Navegantes scored four runs with the help of catcher Pablo Aliendo's go-ahead two-run single. Molina called upon eight relievers to propel Magallanes to victory after starter Yohander Mendez permitted three runs before recording an out in the first.
