Mexicali hosts the Caribbean Series at Estadio Nido de los Águilas for the second time, returning after its 2009 debut when the 2008-09 LVBP champion Tigres de Aragua won the title.
El Nido de los Águilas is home to the Águilas de Mexicali, part of the Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico (LAMP).
The 2025 Caribbean Series will be televised on ESPN Deportes in Spanish and MLB Network in English, with coverage continuing through the final out of the championship game on February 7. The Venados de Mazatlán won their titles in 2005 and 2016, while the Águilas de Mexicali are the only LAMP team with just one championship, winning in 1986.
The Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico (LAMP) began in the 1945-46 winter league season and has now completed its 80th season.
For the first time, the LAMP best-of-seven championship series will be called Serie de México. The league trophy will be in memory of Mexican baseball icon and left-handed pitcher Fernando Valenzuela.
