On Wednesday, the Michigan State Spartans announced their Big 10 opponents for the 2025 season. A season ago, they finished 11-13 in conference play. Head coach Jake Boss Jr. will look to improve that conference record this upcoming season. Here is a breakdown of their conference schedule for next season.
The Spartans’ start of conference play will see them travel to Iowa City to play the Iowa Hawkeyes in a three-game series from Mar. 14-16. They will stay on the road for the following matchup in State College, Pa., to play Penn State from Mar. 21-23.
Michigan State then debuts at home in Kobs Field for Big 10 play, hosting the reigning conference champion Illinois Fighting Illini from Mar. 28-30. They will then hit the road to start the month of April in Bloomington, playing the Indiana Hoosiers from Apr.4-6.
The next two series will be back in East Lansing. They will play Northwestern from Apr. 11-13 and Ohio State from Apr. 18-20 at Kobs Field. They will end the month of April on the road against their in-state rival, Michigan, in Ann Arbor. That series will be from Apr. 25-27.
This is a big month of April for the Spartans as they play two of their biggest rivals on back-to-back weekends. This is one of the most important stretches of games on their schedule.
May will begin for Michigan State with a matchup against two newcomers to the Big 10 conference. From May 2-4, they will play the Oregon Ducks at home. Following that series, they will hit the road to Los Angeles to play the USC Trojans from May 9-11. Their final series of the year will have them play the Minnesota Golden Gophers at home from May 15-17.
