The Northeastern Huskies are cruising through the 2025 college baseball season. Following a weekend sweep against Delaware this past weekend, they find themselves 37-9 overall and 19-2 in Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) play.
The Huskies have won 16 straight games, dating back to March 22, when they beat Towson at home at Friedman Diamond.
As it stands, Northeastern is in first place in the CAA and is in a position to win the conference regular season title. They have a six-game lead over second-place UNC Wilmington.
A regular-season conference title for the Huskies would be their first since 2021 and their fourth since joining the CAA in 2006.
Northeastern has also been a dominant pitching team. This is where they find success. The Huskies have a 3.04 team ERA, which ranks first not only in the CAA but also in the country.
They are ahead of some good pitching teams like Coastal Carolina, North Carolina, and Texas.
Northeastern is also a solid hitting team. Their team batting average is .281, which ranks them among the top five hitting teams in the CAA.
The Huskies have not just been dominating CAA teams. They also have a handful of wins over some bigger college baseball teams. These wins over bigger opponents include wins over UConn and Boston College. The Huskies also have two wins over Kansas State this season.
