The N.C. State Wolfpack earned their 11th win of the season with a 3-0 win over Wright State on Sunday. Starting pitcher Ryan Marohn got his third win of the season for N.C. State as he threw a complete game shutout. During his brilliant nine innings of work, he struck out 14 batters and walked only one.

The left-handed sophomore threw 126 total pitches and only allowed four hits throughout the entire game as well.

Marohn has not given up an earned run in any of the games he has won for the Wolfpack. This includes wins against Fordham and Canisius prior to the win on Sunday against Wright State.

Marohn’s season ERA now sits at 1.73 through 26 total innings of work. He has struck out 38 batters over that same stretch. He also has held opposing lineups to a .187 average. His walk rate has been great all season as well at 3.1%.

This is the third shutout win this season for N.C. State as they also shut out Canisius and UNC Greensboro earlier this season.

Up next, N.C. State will remain at home in Dail Park for a midweek matchup with North Carolina A&T on Tuesday, Mar. 11. The first pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. EST.
