Game 3 of the World Series starts at 8 p.m. ET Monday at Tropicana Field. Milwaukee leads 2-0 after winning both games in its park by one run.

How to watch

FOX has the national broadcast, with FOX Deportes in Spanish. It streams on FOX One, and on MLB.TV if you sign in through a participating pay-TV provider. Locally it’s FOX 13 in Tampa Bay and FOX6 in Milwaukee, both available over the air with an antenna. In Canada, Sportsnet carries it in English, TVA Sports in French.

Peralta at the Trop

Tampa Bay lined its rotation up so Freddy Peralta would pitch at home. Since joining the Rays at the trade deadline, he has a 1.45 ERA at Tropicana Field with 31 strikeouts in 37 1/3 innings over seven starts.

He’s 7-0 with a 0.89 ERA in his last ten appearances since Aug. 26, and he won ALCS MVP with a 0.75 ERA in three outings against Cleveland.

Before that he spent eight years in Milwaukee’s rotation and won 70 games there.

Robert Gasser goes for Milwaukee. He started the season at Triple-A Nashville and has allowed one run in nine innings over two postseason starts.

What’s happened so far

Milwaukee won 3-2, then came back from 4-0 down to win 5-4. Cooper Pratt’s seventh-inning single was the difference in Game 2.

William Contreras has driven in a run in both games and is 4-for-8. He leads all of baseball with 15 hits this postseason. Jackson Chourio is 4-for-9 with two steals in Game 2 — the third player under 23 with multiple hits and multiple steals in a postseason game, joining Ty Cobb in 1908 and Elvis Andrus in 2010.

Yandy Díaz is 0-for-9. Víctor Mesa Jr. is hitting .162 this month.

“Against Milwaukee, if you give up outs, they’re gonna use that against you,” Junior Caminero said. “That’s what happens.”

Of the 57 teams to take a 2-0 World Series lead, 46 have won it.

The first World Series game at the Trop since 2008

Tampa Bay hasn’t hosted one since Game 2 of the 2008 Series on Oct. 23, 2008 — the franchise’s first and only World Series win. That Series ended in Philadelphia, and the 2020 Series was played entirely in Arlington.
