The LSU Tigers have revealed the dates, opponents, and times for their fall exhibition games, according to D1 Baseball’s Mark Etheridge. On Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, November 1, the Tigers will play the Samford Bulldogs at Keesler Federal Park in Biloxi, Mississippi. The ballpark is normally home to the Biloxi Shuckers, the Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.

On Sunday, November 8, LSU will host the Troy Trojans at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge. On Friday, November 13, the Tigers will have another home exhibition game against the Southeastern Louisiana Lions.

How did LSU’s 2026 fall exhibition opponents perform this season?

In 2026, Samford finished with a 31-25 record and a 12-9 record in Southern Conference (SOCON) play. They played some SEC opponents in 2026, including the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Auburn Tigers, and the Georgia Bulldogs. Samford went a combined 0-7 in those games.

Troy made the College World Series in 2026 for the first time in program history. The Trojans finished the 2026 season with a 39-32 record and a 17-13 record in Sun Belt play.

Troy also won its first-ever College World Series game against the Ole Miss Rebels back on June 14.

Southeastern Louisiana finished the 2026 college baseball season with a 34-21 record and a 19-9 record in Southland Conference play. The Lions played LSU in a midweek game on April 28 and lost 12-4.

Logan Schmidt coming to LSU, turns down professional career after 2026 MLB Draft

On Saturday, Logan Schmidt announced that he was coming to LSU and joining the ranks of professional baseball after the 2026 MLB Draft. The Cleveland Guardians selected Schmidt with the 59th overall pick in the second round.

Despite having a pick value of $1.60 million, Schmidt is heading to Baton Rouge to play college baseball with the Tigers. According to Perfect Game, he is a top 15 player in the 2026 high school class and a top five player from the state of California.

Schmidt is a part of LSU’s 2026 high school recruiting class that ranks second in the country. The only team with a better recruiting class is the Vanderbilt Commodores.
