MiLB: Both Triple-A Series Even At 1-1, Winner-Takes-All Game 3 Set For Tonight In IL, PCL

Triple-A

Memphis 15, Rochester 4 - The RedBirds rebounded from their Game 1 loss, scoring four in the second, nine in the third, and two in the fourth and then cruising to an easy win to even the series.

The third-inning outburst started off with a one-out, two-RBI single by Trey Paige. Three batters later, the RedBirds got a two-out RBI single from Jimmy Crooks. Another two-run single, this time from Chase Davis, made it 10-0. Zach Levenson added an RBI double, Noah Mendlinger had an RBI single, and another RBI single from Trey Paige out the game well out of the Red Wings' reach.

Memphis starter Mason Molina threw five scoreless innings, allowing a single hit, walking two, and striking out six.

Oklahoma City 7, Las Vegas 2 - Zach Erhard had a two-run double in the third, Hyeseong Kim had an RBI double in the fourth, and James Tibbs III hit a three-run homer, his second in as many games, as Oklahoma City evened the series with Las Vegas.

Comets starter Landon Knack allowed one run on five hits over 6 1/3 innings, striking out eight and walking none.

Joey Meneses had a solo homer in the ninth for Las Vegas.

Double-A

Rocket City 3, Biloxi 1 - Nick Rodriguez and Tucker Flint each had RBI singles for Rocket City, and Arjun Nimmala hit a solo homer in the bottom of the seventh to give the Trash Pandas insurance. With the win, the Trash Pandas claimed their first Southern League pennant since moving to Huntsville, ironically beating the Rocket City's former franchise, which moved to Biloxi for the 2015 season.

Amarillo 6, Springfield 2 - Angel Ortiz had a two-run single in the sixth and Avery Owusu-Asiedu hit his second home of the playoffs, a two-run shot in the seventh, as Amarillo took Game 3 to win the Texas League pennant, their third since moving to the Yellow City in 2019. Rainel Rodriguez hit a two-run homer for Springfield in the loss.
