The South Carolina Gamecocks revealed their 2026 fall exhibition schedule, which features four opponents.

South Carolina is entering its first season under head coach Kevin Schnall. He came to the Gamecocks from Coastal Carolina after leading the Chanticleers to the 2025 College World Series.

He takes over a South Carolina baseball program that had a rough 2026 season. The Gamecocks finished with a 22-35 overall record and a 7-23 record in Southeastern Conference (SEC) play. In 2025 and 2026, South Carolina won just 13 SEC games.

South Carolina to play High Point and Winthrop at home during the fall

The South Carolina Gamecocks have two fall exhibition games at their home ballpark, Founders Park, in Columbia.

The first home exhibition game will be against the High Point Panthers. In 2026, High Point was a great mid-major team. They finished with a 37-20 overall record and a 17-7 record in Big South play. The Panthers won the 2026 Big South regular season title.

Despite a great regular season, tough losses in the Big South Tournament to USC Upstate and Longwood ended thier season.

In late October, South Carolina will have another exhibition game at Founders Park against the Winthrop Eagles. In 2026, Winthrop finished with a 33-24 overall record and a 15-9 record in Big South play.

The Eagles played the Gamecocks during a midweek game on May 12 this past season. Winthrop got the upset win over South Carolina at Founders Park, 5-2.

Gamecocks to play two fall exhibition games at Minor League ballparks

Aside from their two home exhibition games, South Carolina will also play two other fall exhibition contests at Minor League ballparks.

On October 16, they will face off against the College of Charleston Cougars. The game will not be too far from South Carolina's campus. It will be at Segra Park in Columbia. That ballpark is normally home to the Columbia Fireflies, the Single-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals.

In 2026, College of Charleston finished with a 28-28 overall record. They were a lot better in Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) play, as they had an 18-12 record in conference games.

The Cougars played the Gamecocks in a midweek game at Founders Park last season on April 7. College of Charleston won that game 6-4.

The second exhibition game South Carolina will have at a Minor League ballpark will be on November 1. That day, the Gamecocks will head to the upstate region of South Carolina and play the Duke Blue Devils at Fifth Third Park in Spartanburg.

That ballpark opened in 2025 and is home to the Hub City Spartanburgers, the High-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers.

In 2026, the Duke Blue Devils had a rough year under first-year head coach Corey Muscara. They finished with a 26-31 overall record and a 10-20 record in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play. Duke finished in last place in the ACC.
