One Thing From Each MLB Championship Series Game

The race for a spot in the World Series continued last night. While the Dodgers inched one step closer, the Yankees suffered a heartbreaking loss. Here’s everything you missed from last night’s games.

Cleveland Guardians 7, New York Yankees 5: The game seemed all but over when The Guardians sent Emmanuel Clase out for a four-out save. However, Aaron Judge delivered what looked like a signature moment. He hit a two-run, game-tying home run with two outs.

Before the dust could settle, Giancarlo Stanton went deep in the next at-bat to take the lead. The Yankees added an insurance run later, but it wasn’t enough. In the bottom of the ninth, with two outs, Johnkensy Noel hit a game-tying homer. In the bottom of the tenth, David Fry delivered his second clutch home run of the postseason to walk off the Yankees.

Los Angeles Dodgers 10, New York Mets 2: The Dodgers set the tone early in this game. Shohei Ohtani led the night off with a big home run. Mark Vientos would tie it up in the next frame, but that was about the only excitement for the Mets in the game. The Dodgers kept the runs coming. Mookie Betts had a fantastic night. He had four hits and four RBIs, including a two-run home run. Ohtani scored four runs despite just one hit.
