Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacifico
Naranjeros de Hermosillo 6, Yaquis de Obregon 5 – Agustin Murillo’s three-run double in the sixth pushed the Naranjeros into the second round with a 4-2 series win. Luis Gonzalez went 3-for-4 with three runs scored for Hermosillo, and Jose Cardona hit a solo homer in the third. The Naranjeros will face the Charros de Jalisco in the second round of the LAMP playoffs, which will start on Saturday.
Caneros de Los Mochis 3, Algodoneros de Guasave 1 – Eric Filia drove in the go-ahead run with a sixth inning single, and Yasmany Tomas added insurance with his second home run of the playoffs as the Caneros forced a deciding game seven. Starter Omar Araujo allowed one run on three hits, striking out four and walking one, his only blemish a solo homer by Roberto Ramos in the fifth. The winner of the series will face the Tomateros de Culiacan in the second round.

Cangrejeros de Santurce 3, Senadores de San Juan 0 – Henry Ramos drove in a pair of runs with a double to left field in the first, and Willie Calhoun’s ninth inning double scored Edwin Diaz for the Cangrejeros. Eduardo Rivera threw six shutout innings, allowing three hits and striking out eight for Santurce.
Indios de Mayaguez 5, Criollos de Caguas 4 – Emmanuel Rivera went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer, and Martin Maldonado went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer as Mayaguez evened the series with Caguas at two games apiece. Eight Mayaguez pitchers combined to allow four runs on five hits, walking five and striking out five.

Tigres del Licey (5-2) 1, Aguilas Cibaenas (1-6) 0 – Sergio Alcantara’s single in the bottom of the third drove in Gustavo Nunez for the game’s only run as Licey improved to 5-2 in the 18-game round robin. Starter Zach Muckenhirn allowed one hit and struck out three over four scoreless innings for Licey, with five relievers maintaining the shutout. The Aguilas fell to 1-6 with the loss.
Leones del Escogido (4-3) 12, Estrellas Orientales (4-3) 6 – Yamaico Navarro hit two homers and drove in five runs as the Leones mauled the Estrellas to improve to 4-3. Navarro hit a solo homer in the fourth and a grand slam in the sixth, and Jean Segura hit a two-run shot for Escogido in the fifth.

Bravos de Margarita (6-3) 2, Cardenales de Lara (6-3) 1 – The Cardenales lost their third straight, falling into a tie for first with the Bravos, who scored their runs in the second on an RBI single by Anthony Jimenez and a bases-loaded walk to Jose Martinez. Former MLB starter Felix Doubront threw 5 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing six hits, walking one, and striking out six for Margarita.
Tigres de Aragua (2-7) 5, Navgeantes de Magallanes (3-6) – Leobaldo Pena hit a three-run homer and Eduardo Escobar, Yermin Mercedes, and David Rodriguez each had an RBI single as the Tigres improved to 2-7 in the round robin.
