The Panamanian Baseball Federation has announced that two games will be played in Estadio Mariano Rivera in La Chorrera.

Colón and Panamá Oeste will face off on April 5 at 7 p.m. On April 6, Darién and Panamá Oeste will face off at 7 p.m. All three teams are currently in a position to qualify for the postseason.

“It’s official, we will have two matches at the Estadio Mariano Rivera, it has been coordinated with the friends of Pandeportes and everything is ready for the stadium to open its doors to the public,” Jaime Robinson, president of the Panama Baseball Federation, said in a post on the Federation’s facebook page.

Panama’s newest ballpark, Estadio Mariano Rivera has seating for 10,000 fans, as well as restaurants, bathrooms, dressing rooms, a video screen, and LED lighting throughout the ballpark. The ballpark is named for former New York Yankees pitcher Mariano Rivera, who recorded 652 saves as a Major Leaguer between 1994 and 2013.
