Tigres de Aragua 7, Navegantes de Magallanes 5 – A five-run eighth inning got the Tigres de Aragua their first win of the LVBP’s round robin playoffs. Odubel Herrera and J.J. D’ORazio each hit two-run singles and Yonathan Mendoza singled in another run in the eighth. Former New York Yankee Yangervis Solarte hit a solo homer for Magallanes in the fourth.
Aguilas del Zulia 3, Bravos de Margarita 1 – A two-run single from Jose Herrera in the top of the fifth was enough for the Aguilas to get past Margarita, and Angel Reyes added insurance with a sac fly that scored Osleivis Basabe in the ninth. Four Zulia relievers combined to allow one hit and one walk over the final four innings, shutting out the Bravos and holding the lead.
