Piratas de Campeche (47-39) 10, Tigres de Quintana Roo (43-44) 4 – The Piratas scored eight runs over the final two innings, with Andrew Stevenson capping the outburst with a three-run homer in the ninth as Campeche won its fifth straight and stayed a half game ahead of Puebla in third place. Cal Mitchell hit a solo homer in the ninth for Campeche, and the Piratas bullpen allowed one hit and one walk over 4 1/3 scoreless innings. The loss puts the Tigres three games behind Oaxaca for the sixth and final playoff spot in the Zona Sur.

Guerreros de Oaxaca (46-41) 2, Bravos de Leon (46-41) 0 – Four Oaxaca pitchers combined to throw a four-hit shutout, and Alexi Amarista’s fielder’s choice with runners at the corners got the winning run home in the bottom of the first for the Guerreros. With the win, Oaxaca tied for fifth place with Leon and a game behind fourth-place Puebla.

Olmecas de Tabasco (51-35) 19, El Aguila de Veracruz (39-48) 4 – The Olmecas hit four homers and eight doubles on their way to scoring 19 runs on 24 hits in the series finale against Veracruz. Luis Gonzalez and Agustin Murillo each hit three-run homers and drove in four runs for Tabasco, with both Oscar Gonzalez and Luis Gonzalez hitting two doubles each. The win puts Tabasco four games ahead of Campeche in second place with six games to play, while El Aguila is eliminated from the postseason.

Pericos de Puebla (46-39) 5, Conspiradores de Queretaro (34-52) 1 – Henry Ramos hit a two-run homer in the sixth and Antonio Santos threw six innings, allowing one run on four hits and a walk while striking out two as the Pericos move a game ahead of Leon for fourth place in the Zona Sur.

Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos (33-54) 3, Charros de Jalisco (43-43) 0 – The Tecos season is almost over, but they spoiled the series finale for the Charros, getting a solo homer from Cade Gotta and a two-run single from Luis De Los Santos as seven Tecos pitchers combined to throw a six hit shutout, walking one and striking out 12. The loss drops the Charros into fifth place in the Zona Norte, half a game behind Monclova and Monterrey and 1 1/2 games ahead of Union Laguna and Aguascalientes.

WEDNESDAY: Acereros de Monclova Score Five In Bottom Of Ninth To Steal Win From Chihuahua

Caliente de Durango (49-37) 10, Sultanes de Monterrey (44-43) 4 – Devin Smeltzer allowed two runs on five hits through six innings, striking out six as the Caliente took a 4 1/2-game lead on Monclova and Monterrey for second place in the Zona Norte. The loss was the sixth straight for Monterrey, which can still finish as high as second or as low as seventh with six games remaining. With the win, Durango will send a team to the LMB playoffs for the first time since 1978.

Saraperos de Saltillo (37-50) 5, Rieleros de Aguascalientes (39-44) 3 – Jesus Cruz earned his 16th save of the year for Saltillo, which got a two-run homer from Aaron Antonini to win its third straight game and keep the flickering flame of playoff hope alive. The win moves Saltillo cuts the Algodoneros’ and Rieleros’ lead on the Saraperos to five games with six to play.

Dorados de Chihuahua (35-52) 8, Acereros de Monclova (44-43) 7 – The Dorados got five runs in the fifth, including a grand-slam inside-the-park homer by Joel Flores, and survived a two-run rally in the bottom of the ninth to take the series finale form Monclova. The Blue Fury is tied for third in the Zona Norte with Monterrey and can’t finish any higher than third.

Algodoneros de Union Laguna (42-45) 4, Toros de Tijuana (56-29) 2 – Mason Martin drove in two runs in the top of the eighth and former Chicago White Sox reliever Matt Foster earned his 17th save of the year as the Algodoneros took two-of-three from the Toros and took sole possession of sixth place in the Zona Norte. Union Laguna can finish as high as third or as low as eighth with six games remaining on the schedule.
