Seojun Oh will be a senior during the 2027 college baseball season. The catcher from Anyang, South Korea had a big-time 2026 season with the High Point Panthers and transferred to the Missouri Tigers for the 2027 season.
Oh was listed as a top-40 transfer portal hitter in the country by D1 Baseball.
Oh's huge season with High Point and summer in the Cape Cod League
In 2026, Oh had a .351 batting average and a .448 on-base percentage with the High Point Panthers. He also finished with 14 doubles, 17 home runs, 49 runs, and 60 RBIs.
Oh was High Point's best hitter on a team that went 37-20 and finished with a 17-7 record in Big South Conference play.
The South Korean native was second in the Big South in batting average and led the conference in home runs and RBIs. He was the Big South Player of the Year, the Big South Newcomer of the Year, and first-team All-Big South as well.
During the summer, Oh spent a little bit of time playing for the Cotuit Kettleers in the Cape Cod League. In 30 at-bats with Cotuit, he had seven hits. He was able to score one run in the Cape Cod League and also had four RBIs.
What kind of impact can Oh make on Missouri?
The Missouri Tigers finished with a 24-31 overall record and a 6-24 record in Southeastern Conference (SEC) play. The Tigers finished at the bottom of the SEC and have not had a season where they finished above .500 since 2023.
Oh will certainly be a part of the plan to get Missouri baseball back to winning ways. He will also provide a massive lift to what was a dormant offense in 2026.
The Tigers finished in the bottom three in the SEC in batting average last season. They had a .261 batting average as a team. Missouri was also last in the SEC in home runs with 52.
Oh has the tools to elevate the Tigers' offense. The question will be whether or not his hitting can translate to the highest level of college baseball.
